Kaohsiung's Best Teacher Award Winners for 2015: Chen, Fang-Ya

Miss Chen comes from a normal family and had an interest in teaching since young age. After graduating from teachers college, she began her teaching career at Xaiolin Elementary School, a rural primary school which was lack of resources.

As time flies and after ten years passing by, even been through the deadliest typhoon, the Morakot’s impacted, Miss Chen hasn’t changed her mind about moving to a new school. She encourages her students to do their best, improves their reading comprehension skills and motivates them to stay on track in school. Not only a teacher, she also serves at the library as a librarian taking good care of four thousand more books.

Miss Chen is still on her duties, as a teacher, a server, and a mentor, teaching with heart and soul at the same small school.
